Upstate Family Health Center, in conjunction with the Utica Food Pantry, hosted a food giveaway on July 15th in the UFCH parking lot at 1001 Noyes St. Utica. We had 150-200 bags to give away, including hamburger, chicken, and beef hotdogs. Fresh fruit, frozen food, and canned and boxed goods were also included.
Additionally, UFHC gave away free COVID test kits, and had a medical team on sight to answer any questions or concerns. Their Hep C team was also there for anyone that wanted to be tested. An insurance navigator was also on hand to assist with anyone needing insurance.
“We’re excited to partner up with the Utica Food Pantry for this project,” said Richard Williams, Chief Operating Officer of UFHC. “It’s important for us to reach the community in every capacity we can. At UFHC, we’re more than just medicine.”
