Utica, NY — Upstate Family Health Center is delighted to announce the promotion of Torie Hairston, LCSW, CIMHP, to the position of Senior Director of Integrated Health at Upstate Family Health Center.
Since the start of her tenure with UFHC, Hairston has continually demonstrated unparalleled dedication and expertise in the field of social work and equitable access to integrated health services.
Throughout her career, Hairston has tirelessly advocated for improved mental health and holistic well-being, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Her extensive experience in managing and implementing integrated health programs in the community, to include prior work with the Utica Police Department, has showcased an ability to bridge gaps for clients with behavioral health concerns, resulting in enhanced patient outcomes and increased efficiency in healthcare delivery.
Hairston received her master’s degree in social work from Long Island University with a concentration in forensics, She is currently actively pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Behavioral Health Management through Arizona State University.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Hairston prioritizes community advocacy and volunteerism, serving on local committees including Emerging Leaders United, Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency’s Rome Advocacy Committee and Community Engagement Partnership. Her dedication to community health and wellness initiatives supported UFHC earning Community Partner of the Year from the Rome Family YMCA in 2022.
